DC UNIVERSE Month 66, Part 2

ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN: JON KENT #5 by Tom Taylor and Darick Robertson. Jon has now teamed up with this world’s Harley, Batgirl Catwoman and batman in an effort to stop Superman and his Justice League. Unbeknownst to him, Damian has kidnapped Jay and is planning on using him as bait. Damian has put a tracker on Jon and that leads the League to Batman’s hideout, defeating this rogue group. Jon goes to the Fortress of Solitude, where he speaks with a holographic Lois and meets Superman’s parent, who have been locked here by their son to protect them. Their meeting is interrupted by a message from superman, saying that Barbara and Selina are being imprisoned and that Bruce and Harley will be executed for their crimes.

BATMAN BEYOND: NEO GOTHIC #1 by , Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Max Dunbar. Terry McGuiness defeated the A.I. that was controlling Neo Gotham and is now officially the Batman. But things are not perfect in neo Gotham as children have been disappearing, which leaded Terry into Old Gotham to seek them out. Along the way, he meets with a splicer named Kyle the Catboi and, together, they travel through Old Gotham seeking the answers buried in the city’s past.

BATMAN/SUPERMAN: WORLD’S FINEST #17 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. Robin tries to get information out of T. M. morrow while Batman, Superman and their allies fight Newmazo. But Will Magnus has the best idea and gathers all the heroes and villains with A.I. to join their fight. In the end, it’s the original Amazo that takes the fight out of him. Still alive, Metamorpho, whose life had been ruined by Newmazo, eventually takes the creature down.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #3 by Dennis Culver, Ed Brisson, Christopher Cantwell, Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Otto Schmidt, Jeff Spokes, Javier Rodriguez, and Jorge Molina.A new villain called Mr. Baseball is loose in Gotham and has his sights set on Vito Grande, leading to Batman having to protect Mr. Baseball’s target, whether he wants to or not. In the second story, Peacekeep-01 is seriously injured, meaning he is temporarily out of action. Huskk presents Director Bones with a Faraday Cage, so it will allow Stormwatch to capture a malware creature when they infiltrate Halo. The team gets inside and soon discover that the Faraday cage has been rigged to fail and the creature gets loose. Huskk asks Bones what he really had planned for the malware and wants to know who is really running Stormwatch. Working together, the team manages to contain the creature. Later, Flint goes to a bar run by Nigel Keane: the ex-Stormwatch member known at Hellstrike while Ravager decides to bow out of the organization. That is when Insomnia’s attack takes hold of the DC Universe. In the third tale, Superman teams up with Hop Harrigan to fight Dr. Anthelme, who has developed a way to eliminate selective memory, thus giving someone eternal life. Harrigan uses the ring to make use of the power of the black lamp to make their escape, but Harrigan forgets how to fly and they crash into the sea. In the end, Clark can no longer recall who Hop is. In the final tale, Batman battles a strange bat creature.

DANGER STREET #7 by Tom King and Jorge Fornes. One month following the events of last issue, Lady Cop sits waiting for a meeting with The Commodore. The wait is a long one and she doesn’t get to meet with him, but gets to meet with Jack Ryder instead, who gets in to see The Commodore before her. After sitting all day, she never gets to see him and walks out with The Commodore’s secretary, who says that she works for him because he threatened to kill her son, who he has apparently kidnapped. On Apokolips, Mantis informs Darkseid that increased productivity is degrading the planet and Darkseid kills him. The Dingbats are painting out the DA on the road sign DANGER STREET with Non fat getting arrested. He ends up in jail with Warlord. Elsewhere, Orion gets drunk and destroys his Mother Box. ‘Mr. Simon’ finds himself on a beach when he is visited by Manhunter, who claims he is not Mr. Simon. The boy flees with manhunter giving chase, only to be attacked by sea creatures, with the boy saying he is the perfect person to help with The Commodore.

HAWKGIRL #1 by Jadzia Axelrod and Amancay Nahuelpan. Fifty years ago, a strange woman named Vulpecula gives a young girl a necklace in exchange for giving the girl everything her heart desires. But there’s a catch: Vulpecula gets whatever SHE wants too. In the present, Hawkgirl fights alongside the Justice league. But, in the midst of battle, she loses her wings and is saved by the mysterious alien known as Galaxy. Later, Kendra has lunch with her friend Abilene, who makes advance towards Kendra, which she spurns. Kendra has a talk with Batman and, in the process, Vulpecula steals the Nth metal from Kendra’s wings and finds her way to the Nth world, even though she cannot gain access. In the end, Galaxy is with her girlfriend Kat when Hawkgirl unexpectedly drops in…literally.

MULTIVERSITY: HARLEY SCREWS UP THE DCU #5 by Frank Tieri and Logan Faerber. Harley saves the Wayne family from Joe Chill, meaning Bruce never becomes Batman. The two Harleys fight after our Harley learns that her counterpart has been having conversations with Professor Incredulous. Later, in Crime Alley,  they encounter the Starro Suicide Squad, eventually defeating them and allowing history to be restored as it should have been. Unfortunately, the other Harley has been shot by Red Tool and appears to be dying.

SPIRIT WORLD #3 by Alyssa Wong and Haining. Xanthe Zhou and John Constantine fight tentacled creatures in the spirit world when Batgirl arrives to lend a hand.  Following the creature’s defeat, Xanthe is reunited with Po Po Bowen and Constantine prepares to taske Cass home, but she refuses, saying she promised to help people here. Xanthe learns that a deal was brokered with Shen, who wants a piece of Cass’ living flesh. When Shen bites her, Cass sees visions of a horrific nature. , learning that her mother had killed her and then brought her back and that when she was last in the spirit world, a spirit had attacked her. After striking a bargain with Shen, they are all transported to Mr. Hong’s, only to learn that everyone is gone. Well…everyone human is gone.

STATIC: SHADOWS OF DAKOTA #5 by Nikolas Draper-Ivey and Vita Ayala. While Virgil deals with the pain he is feeling following Quincy’s death, Theo continues his plan. But he and his crew run across the super-powered vigilante who is trying to bring Theo down. That may mean actually teaming up with Virgil to get the job done.

STEELWORKS #2 by Michael Dorn and Sami Basri. John and Natasha fight back against Shawn Kerry, who has escaped during the battle. The next day, Kerry goes to Walker Inc., where Walker offers Kerry the chance to become the Silver Mist and gain revenge on Irons by infiltrating Steelworks Tower, steaking the energy source and blowing up the tower. At the tower, where Jay Nakamura now works, John meets with the Super Family, explaining how his Energy Core is designed to put a barrier around Metropolis but not replace the existing heroes. During the meeting, Nat tracks a noise and runs headlong into The Silver Mist.

SUPERBOY: THE MAN OF TOMORROW #4 by Kenny Porter and Jahnoy Lindsay. Connor and Travv team up to fight Infinity, but Travv has an ulterior motive and brings his gang of cloned Metas into the battle, killing Infinity. The Cosmoteers team up and take Connor out. When he wakes, he finds out that Travv has used Connor’s DNA to create his own Superboy. Green Lantern Dal Tornan captures the Cosmoteers, but they break free and Pira blasts a hole into his chest, killing the Green Lantern. On Earth, Kal finds out that Connor has gone on a mission and decides it is time to get Jon and Kara and start searching for him. In the end, Travv takes the fight directly to Dominator X while Connor is stranded on Planet Decidia, where he is found by some alien children wearing Superboy themed clothing.

TALES OF THE TITANS #1 by Shannon Hale, Dean Hale, and Javier Rodriguez. Starfire meets with visitors from her home planet who have sent out a distress signal. This leads her back to her home planet where she must figure out how to destroy the creatures that are attacking and killing their poggerts. After finding the solution, she returns home and helps her fellow teammates defeat Queen Bee, using similar tactics that she used to save the poggerts.

THE UNSTOPPABLE DOOM PATROL #4 by Dennis Culver and David Lafuente.  Inside the Shelter, Dr. Synchro is engaging in a therapy session with a metahuman named Maurice and others, including Elastigirl, Negative Man, Robotman, and Kareli, revealing some of their origins and traumas.  In the end, Dr. Synchro tries to get The Chief to be included, but she declines, saying even Jane is in a good mental place, although the look in the mirror may tell otherwise.

THE VIGIL #3 by Ram V and Lalit Kumar Sharma. Saya wakes in bed with two women before changing his face and leaving. Later, he heads to Nia’s apartment and puts his mask upon her. When she wakes, she plays back the team’s last mission in Cambodia, where they find an elderly shaman who is  being kept alive artificially and is responsible for keeping an ancient city together. When Castle puts him out of his torment, the city collapses. In the end, Saya tells the team they can trust her and Castle sends them to Lexcorp, where someone or something is being kept.

WILDC.A.T.S #9 by Matthew Rosenberg, Danny Kim, and Tom Derenick. Cole meets with this world’s Adrianna to rescue her, but she refuses, telling him she doesn’t have enough energy to send him home but he should know how to do that himself.  Cole is set to kill her when Max arrives to talk him out of it. This world’s Zealot also arrives, killing Max in the process. Cole has no choice but to kill Zealot and then executes Adrianna. Back at the home of the Beef Boys, Lynch tells the team he has a plan to have them work for him and destroy Halo. At Halo, Voodoo is held captive and refuses to cooperate so Threshold uses his ability to read her mind, revealing Marlowe’s off the book apartment’s location. Warblade and Pike arrive but are taken out by a well placed bomb. When that goes south, it’s back to trying to gain information from Voodoo, but she breaks free and takes out Threshold, Backlash, and Maul before being stabbed by Talon.. Injured, Halliday sends the revived team after her but she leaps out of the skyscraper through a broken window.

WORLD’S FINEST: TEEN TITANS #1 by Mark Waid and Emanuela Lupacchino. The Teen Titans, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Robin, and Bumblebee, fight a variety of villains on a variety of different fronts. After trying to figure out who should be the leader, the team goes after the Separated Man, working together to defeat him. Speedy is all about using social media to capture their actions but Robin shuts him down, leading to Roy wanting to know Robin’s real name, which he refuses to give., storming off in a huff. In the end, a shadowy villain interviews potential gang members as he builds what he calls a “better Teen Titans”. The villain kills the interviewee, saying he’s ready for the next candidate.

DC UNIVERSE Month 66, Part 1

KNIGHT TERRORS: FIRST BLOOD #1 by Joshua Williamson and Howard Porter. Dr. Destiny and his family is enjoying a lovely day when they all becomes nightmarish images. He finds himself at a destroyed Hall of Justice and claims he needs the Dreamstone to take control. But he is attacked my nightmarish visions of the Justice League and a mysterious individual claims to want the Nightmare Stone. Elsewhere, Deadman follows the trinity to the abandoned Hall of Justice, where the heroes discover a murdered Dr. Destiny. Harley Quinn calls the heroes and tells them that Dr. Destiny is still at Arkham in the throes of a violent nightmare. Deadman enters Batman’s body, trying to tell the heroes that what is happening is more severe than magic doings. Wonder Woman goes to visit Zatanna, while Superman heads to Supercorp and Batman and Deadman go to Arkham, even as Amanda Waller observes. At Arkham, Batman and Deadman arrive as Dr. Destiny dies screaming that people should not go to sleep. The creature Insomnia is released from the dead man’s body and begins to put everyone to sleep and infect them all, heroes, villains and civilians alike.  To be continued in all of the KNIGHT TERROR releases..

KNIGHT TERRORS #1 by Joshua Williamson, Guiseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi and Caspar Wijngaard. Deadman, in Batman’s body, confronts ZInsomnia, learning that he was just a regular guy transformed by the Lazarus Rain and that he is searching for the Nightmare Stone, once created and then hid by Dr. Destiny. Realizing he cannot defeat Insomnia, Deadman/batman flees and, getting some of the remaining Lazarus Rain, resurrects Wesley Dodds: the original Sandman.

KNIGHT TERRORS #2 by Joshua Williamson, Guiseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi and Caspar Wijngaard. Batman/Deadman meets with the reborn Dr. Midnite, who explains how a cult and their leader were responsible for creating the Nightmare Stone with their suicidal sacrifices. Elsewhere, the son of the cult leader is visited by Insomnia, who tortures the man to find the stone, killing him in the process. Batman meets with Red Tornado and Batman is tormented by images of Insomnia’s own nightmares. It reveals that Insomnia, a man named Lukas,  was in Arkham and learned the Justice league, presumed dead, was still alive, causing him to violently lash out before being sedated and tortured.. The Sleepless Knights arrive and take control of Red Tornado.

KNIGHT TERRORS: ACTION COMICS #1 by Leah Williams and Vasco Georgiev. Power Girl finds herself caught in an endless series of dreams involving her parents and her best friends, with Omen being revealed as a robot who may be responsible for it. In the backup, the Superman Family try to get through the worldwide nightmare with Osul being tormented by Cyborg Superman, convinced that he has kidnapped Connor and Krypto. Henshaw comes out of the television and attacks them. They fight back but are captured. That’s when Krypto appears, poised to attack..

KNIGHT TERRORS: ANGEL BREAKER #1 by Tim Seeley and Acky Bright. In Turkey, Angel Breaker captures Raptor and gives him an offer: join her or go to jail. Midflight, the pair jump out of the plane and land at the hidden lair of the Kobra cult. Once there, they run into the young students who learn there, where they learn that Asclepius the “Dream Snake” is being kept there. Angel Breaker comes to the realization that maybe she actually created Asclepius.

KNIGHT TERRORS: BATMAN #1 by Joshua Williamson, Guillem March, and David Lafuente. In the past, Batman goes into an isolation tank to try to remove the nightmares about his parent’s deaths, to no avail. In the present, a young Bruce is trapped in the Nightmare Realm. He eventually ends up in a graveyard behind his parent’s home, seeing the graves of so many of his friends and family. Insomnia, dressed as Robin, asks for Bruce’ help in finding the Nightmare Stone. Bruce fights back but Insomnia chokes him, unleashing a giant bat with a gun. This forces Bruce to transform into Batman. But his nightmare isn’t over yet, as he finds himself in the body of Joe Chill and he apparently kills his own parents. In the backup, continuing from the FCBD story, Damian Wayne travels in search of the secret to defeat Insomnia. He learns to stay awake and is now ready to battle Insomnia. KNIGHT TERRORS: BLACK ADAM #1 by Jeremy Haun. Black Adam fights his way through a haunted Khandaq and other places, discovering many of his powers are gone. He sees the Rock of Eternity and knows he must get to it. He loses his powers and transforms into his youngest self, leading to a conversation with a cat who is a version of Bast. He transforms back and the pair race through a tower, where he sees a lizard incarnation of Isis kill his family. They continue their journey, which leads to them encountering Batman.

KNIGHT TERRORS: CATWOMAN #1 by Tini Howard and Leila Leiz. In the Nightmare Realm, Catwoman teams up with her sister Maggie, who is not only a nun by day but Sister Zero. Maggie, a nun, runs a  soup kitchen. It is revealed that Selina has previously been injured, as she bears scars across her left eye and face. That night, they go to the Amusement Mile, where Selina is convinced the kids there are well armed and working for The Joker. Sister Zero gets shot and falls but is saved by Batman, who is at the beginning of his career and is stunned to have Selina call him by that name. He is bit by a snake and falls to sleep, leading Selina and Maggie to take him back to her apartment, where the pair kiss. Maggie observes it and berates her sister. When she comes back later, she finds the pair gone, with Selina promising to teach Bruce everything he needs to know.

KNIGHT TERRORS: DETECTIVE COMICS #1 by Dan Watters and Riccardo Federici. Jim Gordon faces the Good people of Gotham: a cult that has summoned the Pentapriests of the Fifth Dimension. In the process, Sorrow is killed and Jim is forced to face off against a twisted vision of Batman, even as Jim’s body is literally crumbling like a broken porcelain doll. He goes to meet with Angelica Vanderbar and finds she is chocking to death on a collection of rare gems that she is vomiting. He cannot save her as his body continues to crack and crumble, all to the delight of  one of the Pentapriests.

KNIGHT TERRORS: THE FLASH #1 by Alex Paknadel and Daniel Bayliss. Barry gets a call to the hospital, where he finds that Wally, in his Kid Flash persona, has been injured fighting Grodd. A wounded Jay Garrick arrives, telling Barry that Grodd was carrying the Spear of Destiny and Wally slowed down right before Grodd stabbed him. Barry visits with Wally, who tells him that something was wrong with the Speed Force and he saw a monster in the lightning. At Iron Heights, Barry learns that .some of the inmates have been cutting their eyelids off to stay awake. He meets with Grodd, who tells him Wally slowed. Barry loses it and assaults Grodd, even as he knows things are wrong.  Outside, he find it’s snowing in June and he heads to the Watchtower, where he meets a scarred Hal Jordan, who ended up this way after absorbing the Sun-Eaterduring THE FINAL NIGHT #4.  He helps Barry start the Cosmic Treadmill, which sends him back to Wally’s battle with Grodd, but cannot save him, even as he now gives chase to the monster in the lightning..

KNIGHT TERRORS: GREEN LANTERN #1 by Jeremy Adams, Alex Segurs, Eduardo Pansica, and Mario “Fox” Foccillo. In the Nightmare Realm, Green Lantern arrives to see young Hal at his father’s funeral. When young Hal looks in the coffin, his father’s zombified body attacks, along with all of the other’s at the funeral. Next, hal finds himself working for Carol Ferris as a pilot. He flies off in a ship that starts by itself and crash landed, meeting Abin Sur, who gives him the Lantern ring. But the ring begins to drain Hal’s life force, which will kill Jordan but save Abin Sur. To save himself, hal cuts off his ring finger and crawls to a door and opens it, taking his Green Lantern persona to a meeting with the Guardians. They tell him he has betrayed the oath of the Lanterns and they transform into creatures. He slays them but now he needs to fight the creature known as Parallax. In the backup, Sinestro finds himself in a nightmare that takes him back to his home planet, where he is forced to meet himself as a multi-headed Green Lantern.

KNIGHT TERRORS: HARLEY QUINN #1 by Tini Howard and Hayden Sherman. In Harley’s darkest dreams, she is still a doctor working in Arkham. She gets attacked by a gang of Jokers and uses her oversized hammer to fight them off. Fighting her way through various heroes and villains, she ends up, as Harley Quinn, in a room with a computer that directs her to the Multiversity Guidebook.  After looking through the book, she ends up on Earth-31: the home of Admiral El and the Justice Fleet, where she is the captain of a pirate ship, leading to a battle with the Justice Fleet. As she drowns in that world, she finds herself back with the computer, getting transported to Earth-43: the home of the Blood League. Back with the computer, she realizes that being in the Justice League is her nightmare. In the backup, Harley meets with a future alternate version of herself, spends a night in a video arcade before being asked to join in a mission with her alternate self.

KNIGHT TERRORS: THE JOKER #1 by Matthew Rosenberg and Stefano Raffaele. The Joker battles Batman and kills him in the process, leaving himself wondering what to do next. He slides into depression, spending his days watching REAL HOUSEWIVES OF METROPOLIS. He finally gets a job, as Johann Kaiser, working for Mr. Dee at Wayne Industries. When he can’t figure out what his job is, he eventually leaves and  goes to another job at Wayne Industries, where he kills his boss with a microwave. The next day, he tries to organize a worker’s revolt but ends up in Mr. Dee’s office. He continues to try to adjust, eventually ending up in a fight in an alley and reunites, briefly, with Gaggy. He learns that batman is supposedly alive, even though he tells his co-workers that he has Batman’s corpse in his closet. That night, as he watches television, it is revealed that Batman’s corpse is indeed in his closet.

KNIGHT TERRORS: NIGHTWING #1 by Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad, and Daniele Di Nicuolo. Dick finds himself captured in a nightmarish version of Arkham, where all of the doctors and guards are anthropomorphic animals. He is in a cell next to Two Face and has a cellmate that lives under his bed. He tries to break free but is captured and treated with electroshock therapy. He breaks free again and two of the doctors transform into zombie versions of his parents. Back in his cell, he learns the person under his bed is Jonathan Crane, who reveals Dick is in Arkham because he killed batman. Crane has an exscape plan but all that changes when Dick realizes that Barbara is in here too.

KNIGHT TERRORS: POISON IVY #1 by G. Willow Wilson and Atagun Ilhan. Living in a  shack at Slaughter Swamp, Ivy goes to sleep and wakes to find she is in the perfect neighborhood with Harley as her perfect wife. Harley serves her a pie made of something that causes Ivy to grimace. She also sees their next door neighbors are Batman and a very pregnant Selina. Janet from HR finds herself in this neighborhood, where she also finds that Penguin, Dick Grayson, Batgirl, and the Riddler are also living here. She races to Ivy and Harley’s house and finds that Ivy has become comfortable here. Janet is chased by the neighbors as Ivy and Harley continue their ideal and creepy romance.

KNIGHT TERRORS: PUNCHLINE #1 by Danny Lore and Lucas Meyers. Punchline and her crew start a heist, with Punchline seemingly immune to Insomnia’s sleep attack. During the heist, Batgirl arrives and they pair battle with Batgirl seemingly killed. Stealing Batgirl’s motorcycle, Punchline breaks into Oracle’s homebase at the clock tower, where she is menaced by a zombie Batgirl, made of flesh and metal. So, maybe this is all a dream after all…or a nightmare.

KNIGHT TERRORS: RAVAGER #1 by Ed Brisson and Dexter Soy.  In the Nightmare Realm, Rose Wilson discovers her foster father’s dead body and then two creatures kill her foster mother. While she tries to stay alive against the creatures, Ravager shows up to rescue her. Rose explains that she is being chased by The Murder Man and his two followers that she calls the Slaughter Squadron. Rose goes on to explain that she is Rose Madison and that The Murder Man does not want to work for Insomnia and is looking for a way out.. Ravager removes her mask, revealing she is Rose. Nightmare Rose explains that a conduit of blood is needed to allow The Murder Man out of this world. She then stabs Ravager, revealing that Ravager is the conduit. In the real world, Peacekeeper-01 discovers the sleeping citizens and Ravager’s body, but no sign of the remainder of Stormwatch.

KNIGHT TERRORS: ROBIN #1 by Kenny Porter and Miguel Mendonca. Robin is fighting crime and Red Hood is staking out a heroin shipment. Both end up together and a mysterious mist takes them into the Nightmare Realm. Both get captured, with Tim being taken to his father’s apartment and Red Hood battling an army of monster red Hoods. Tim is forced to relive his father’s death over and over again and cannot stop it no matter how many times he tries. Eventually, the Bat Family arrive to save him, but he can’t save them as they are all killed by Captain Boomerang. As his mind fractures, Jason reaches out, saying they need a plan and fast.

KNIGHT TERRORS: SHAZAM #1 by Mark Waid and Roger Cruz. Mary Marvel is fighting bad guys and finally goes back home and falls asleep. When she awakes, her and her siblings find they are in a desolate landscape and there is no water anywhere. She transforms and is greeted by Black Adam. Adam transforms into Billy and says the magic word, taking Mary’s powers away. She races into their burning home looking for her family and says the magic word, transforming her back to Mary Marvel and seeing her family is fine. Her father tells her to go back to sleep and she does, changing as she does for the next five days. Next she goes to a sleep specialist but ends up captured by Black Adam, who uses the magic word to kill her siblings. In the end, Adam whispers the magic word to her…

KNIGHT TERRORS: SUPERMAN #1 by Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly. Clark Kent is working at the Daily Planet when he learns that the whole world has been saved forever, even as Lois and Jimmy morph into alternate versions of themselves. When a tidal wave threatens Metropolis, Clark opens his shirt and discovers a S symbol scar but he is not Superman, meaning everyone dies. Perry transforms into Nightmare and demands the Nightmare Stone. Clark refuses and the world is destroyed by a combination of aliens and Earth made crises. He is menaced by a metallic harbinger of death who shows him that Krypton’s destruction only followed him to Earth. He saves his cousin and then they fight a group of zombified Supergirls, causing him to fall back to Earth, where his sleeping form is discovered by Aquaman and his undersea family.

KNIGHT TERRORS: TITANS #1 by Andrew Constant and Scott Godlewski. A young woman, inspired by a mysterious voice, makes her way through a nightmare scenario in an effort to free the Titans, who are also trapped in there own nightmares. After freeing them all, she means the person behind the voice, who turns out to be Raven, who shows them a twisted version of Titans Tower,

KNIGHT TERRORS: WONDER WOMAN #1 by Josie Campbell, Stephanie Williams, Meghan Hetrick, and Juan Ferreyra. Detective Chimp finds Wonder Woman and she seemingly melts away in his arms, only to save him from drowning moments later , telling him they have to find the Justice League. That is when Constantine arrives and they all travel to the maze in Invenire, where they battle creatures along the way. John meets with Zatanna and other magic creatures, where he is imprisoned by her. In the end, Diana is eaten by a giant snake. In the backup, Nubia ends up in a nightmare world where she eventually meets with a transformed Gaia, who is content with trying to kill the Amazon queen.

KNIGHT TERRORS: ZATANNA #1 by Dennis Culver and David Baldeon. In the terrific Tower, Red Tornado tries to figure what has caused the world to go to sleep when he is attacked. Zatanna is under the Hall of Justice trying to keep Sir Morbid and Iron Maiden from harming Detective Chimp and Wonder Woman, despite the urging of the Sleepless Queen to have Zatanna turn over the Nightmare Stone. She uses her magic to hold them off and that is when Robotman arrives, leading them to head to the magic panic room under the Hall of Justice. With Detective Chimp and Wonder Woman with them, they head to the panic room, which is actually an enchanted maze. Along the way, they encounter visions of dead family and friends. The Sleepless Queen stabs Robotman, informing him that he has been “knighted’”, turning him into The Rustbringer and making him the newest member of the Sleepless Knights.
